Jake Lamb and Brandon Drury homered in a third inning of five runs and the Arizona Diamondbacks scored five times in an inning for the second straight night to beat the San Diego Padres on Wednesday.
Zack Greinke worked five innings for his eighth win. Arizona rebounded from a two-run draw to win its eighth home game, improving to 23-8 at Chase Field.

The winning streak is the best of the Diamondbacks since winning eight straight home games in July 2012.

Greinke (8-3) had to save a streak in the fifth after Franchy Cordero drove out hitter Jose Pirella, who opened the inning with a double. The right struck Hunter Renfroe and Ryan Schimpf with two runners on board.
