The Baseball Hall of Fame will pay homage to “The Simpsons” on May 27, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the episode “Homer al Bate.”
First broadcast on February 20, 1997, “Homero al Bate” featured Wade Boggs, Ken Griffey Jr. and Ozzie Smith, all members of the Hall of Fame who played in the episode with the softball team of The nuclear plant of Springfield.
In the episode were used the voices of the real players, among which were also Jose Canseco, Roger Clemens, Don Mattingly, Steve Sax, Mike Scioscia and Darryl Strawberry.
Boggs and Smith will participate in a panel discussion on May 27.
